Shiatsu
It is the most famous Japanese massage technique, and its principles embrace traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and osteopathy. According to these principles, thanks to certain specific manual techniques such as acupressure and stretching, applied along the energy meridians that cross our body, it is possible to stimulate and awaken Ki (or vital energy), with beneficial effects that continue well beyond the duration of a single treatment.
At Grien SPA, it is offered in its Zen version, in a 60-minute session, to carry out a deep action both on a physical and emotional level.
Yin/Yang balancing massage
A treatment suitable for releasing energy blocks due to stagnant energy in the body.
According to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, everything that exists is a combination of two opposing energies: Yin and Yang. Through the stimulation of certain precise points of the body, with techniques reminiscent of Chinese Tuina massage, the optimal energy balance of the person is promoted, and the natural immune defence of the body is stimulated.
At Grien SPA, it is proposed in a 45 60-minute session and provides a very pleasant warming and soothing effect.
Targeted micro-massage
This consists of techniques derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine, also known as ‘acupuncture without needles’, and is particularly suitable for complaints such as cervicalgia (neck pain), sciatica and lumbago.
At the Grien SPA, it is available in a 30- or 45-minute session, in combination with the Finnish sauna for a more beneficial effect on the musculo-skeletal system.
Aromatherapy massage with essential oils
This massage is characterised by the most classic manipulations, assisted by precious essential oils for a persistent aromatherapy effect.
It promotes relaxation and psychophysical wellness as well as lymphatic and blood circulation. It can also help relieve minor muscle ailments or various kinds of tension.
At the Grien SPA, it is available in 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions with precious essential oils for a pleasant aromatherapeutic effect.
Massage according to the Rudolph Breuss technique
This massage technique, invented by Austrian naturopath Rudolph Breuss, is particularly recommended for herniated discs. It consists of various manoeuvres of relaxation and stretching of the inter-vertebral muscles, which, according to Breuss’ studies, promote the natural regeneration process of the vertebral discs. For this purpose, St. John’s Wort oil is preferably used as a product in massages, due to its excellent anti-inflammatory and sedative properties.
At Grien SPA it is proposed in a 30-minute session and provides a very pleasant warming and soothing effect.
Lymphatic drainage leg massage
The lymphatic leg drainage massage is based on Emil Vodder’s studies on manual lymph drainage, and is an extremely gentle, relaxing type of massage.
The manual techniques are harmonious, slow and rhythmic, and are performed with the aim of favouring the flow of skin and subcutaneous liquids of the lower limbs in the direction of the lymphatic stations, encouraging the natural elimination of toxins.
At the Grien SPA, it is offered in a 45-minute session, for a final effect of incredible lightness and psychophysical wellness.
