- We ask you to respect the premises and furnishings inside the accommodation. Any damage caused deliberately to the facilities, yet also attributed to inexperience or distraction, the cost of replacing/restoring the damaged items will be charged to you.
- Smoking is prohibited in all accommodation facilities.
How can I reach the reception of the Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel?
What are the reception opening times?
The reception is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where can I collect the keys to my accommodation?
We will give you the keys at our reception in Sauris di Sopra. After checking in, we take you to your accommodation and explain its main features.
What time can I check in?
On the day of your arrival, you can check in between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Outside these times we charge a €30 surcharge per apartment if you arrive before 10 p.m., and a €50 surcharge per apartment if you arrive after 10 p.m.
Please let us know in advance what time you intend to arrive so that we can accommodate you as best we can.
Please also note that for accommodation situated in La Maina and Lateis, check-in is not available after 8 p.m., and for accommodation in Sauris di Sotto, after 11 p.m. (These details are subject to change only by prior agreement with the Reception)
What time do I have to check out?
On the day of your departure, check-out is at 10 a.m.
Can I book for just one night?
No, the minimum stay is for two nights.
Where is the accommodation located?
Most of the accommodation is in the village of Sauris di Sopra. There are 6 accommodation facilities in Sauris di Sotto, 1 in La Maina and 2 in Lateis.
What is included in the final price of the accommodation?
The price of accommodation includes:
- an equipped kitchen and independent heating
- the provision of bed, bath and table linen
- the supply of wood (in accommodation featuring a fireplace and a wood-burning stove)
- a small supply of coffee, tea and sugar
- use of the camp bed (for children up to three years old)
- free wi-fi
- independent heating
- weekly cleaning of the accommodation with a change of bed and kitchen linen.
If you need anything else, just ask at reception and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Do I have to pay tourist tax?
Tourist tax has been in force in the Municipality of Sauris as from 2018 and the measure established for our accommodation is € 1.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 15 consecutive days.
The tourist tax is collected directly by the accommodation facilities when paying for the stay, and is then paid to the municipality.
The following categories are exempt from payment:
- minors who, on the day of arrival, have not yet reached their twelfth year of age
- disabled individuals who are not self-sufficient, in possession of appropriate medical certification, including an accompanying person
- personnel belonging to the State and local Police, other armed forces, the Re-gional Forestry Corps, the National Fire Brigade Corps as well as health per-sonnel staying for service requirements
- individuals staying in accommodation facilities as a result of measures adopt-ed by public authorities to deal with emergency situations resulting from calam-itous or extraordinary events and for humanitarian relief purposes.

Is the accommodation equipped with Wi-Fi?
Yes, all accommodation is equipped with Wi-Fi. The accommodation in Borgo San Lorenzo is equipped with a fast fibre-optic connection, while the facilities in Lateis and Sauris di Sotto have a split-fibre connection.
Does all accommodation have a fireplace?
Not all accommodation has a fireplace. If you want a fireplace, book one of the accommodations located in Borgo San Lorenzo or in Sauris di Sopra.
Firewood is included in the price of the stay.
Does the accommodation have independent heating?
Yes, all accommodation has independent heating.
Is there a TV?
In all apartments, there is a small television, but the signal is not always optimal. We recommend you keep it switched off. In reception you can borrow lots of books and board games to brighten up your evenings.
Is there any air conditioning?
No, the accommodation is not equipped with air conditioning. But don’t worry, the summer temperatures up here are never muggy.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes, the water is drinkable.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is an extra service and is not included in the price. If you wish, you can book one of our morning baskets and we will deliver it directly to your accommodation. You can choose between the sweet basket, with bread, milk, butter, jam, fruit, croissants and yogurt, and the savoury basket, with ham and cheese.
Can I request half or full board?
No, because we do not have an in-house catering service.
As a guest of Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel, am I entitled to any discount?
Yes, you are entitled to a 20% discount on entrance to the Grien SPA and 10% discount on boat rental at the lake.
What other services do you provide?
When you stay in one of our accommodation facilities, you can take advantage of many other services.

- laundry service (if the accommodation does not have a washing machine)

Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome, we charge € 10 surcharge per pet, per day.
Is cleaning carried out daily?
The accommodation is cleaned every three days. If you would like extra cleaning, you can request it upon arrival for a surcharge of € 20 per cleaning activity, depending on the size of your accommodation.
Is final cleaning of the accommodation included in the price?
Final cleaning, with the exception of the kitchenette, which is the guest’s responsibility, is included in the price. The accommodation must be left tidy and free from rubbish, which must be disposed of in accordance with the specifications set out in the “House rules”.
Do you have a babysitting service or a kids’ club?
No, I’m sorry. We do not currently provide a babysitting service and do not have a kids’ club.
How should I sort my waste?
In Sauris, waste is sorted into five categories: wet, undifferentiated dry, plastic, paper, cardboard and glass.
Inside the accommodation, you will find collection bags and instructions. If you need any more, drop by reception and ask the staff.
Where is the eco waste collection area located?
In Sauris di Sopra, it is located near the reception of the Albergo Diffuso multi-building hotel, while in Sauris di Sotto, it is located near the tourist office and in Lateis, it is near the Riglarhaus hotel.
How can I reach the Grien SPA?
How far is the Grien SPA from Sauris di Sopra and Sauris di Sotto?
The Grien SPA is about 1.5 kilometres from Sauris di Sopra and 1.5 kilometres from Sauris di Sotto. If you’re on foot, you can reach the Grien Spa in about 15-20 minutes.
Are there any paths in the vicinity of the Grien SPA?
Yes, from the Grien SPA you can take path 1A to Mount Rucke, path 2B/2C to Sauris di Sotto and path 1G to Sauris di Sopra. Trail 1A can only be used in summer and is suitable for experienced walkers. Paths 2B/2C and path 1G link the wellness centre to Sauris di Sopra and Sauris di Sotto.
Are there any transport services to/from the Grien SPA?
No, there are currently no transfer or shuttle services available to/from the Grien Spa, which can therefore only be reached on foot or by your own transport.
Is there a parking area?
Yes, there is a free, unattended parking area available for our guests.

Are there any discounts for children?
Children between 6 and 12 years of age receive a 50% discount on the admission price, while children up to 5 years of age can enter free of charge.
Is booking required?
We ask you to book in order to guarantee your access, as we can only accept a limited number of guests per admission round. If you have not booked, availability will be checked upon entry.

Can I extend my stay beyond the booked round?
If you wish to stay longer than the time already booked, let us know around the end of your round: unless the next shift is already full, you can extend your stay for € 2 per person per additional hour.
Can I book several rounds on the same day?
Sure. By booking in advance you can choose to stay one or more rounds.
I am a guest of the Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel, am I entitled to a discount off the entrance to the Grien SPA?
As a guest of the Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel, you are entitled to a 20% discount off the admission price.
Can I access the Grien SPA even if I am not a guest of the Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel?
Access to the Grien SPA is open to both guests of the Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel and to external guests. Guests of the Albergo Diffuso Sauris multi-building hotel are entitled to a 20% discount on the admission price.
What will I find inside the Grien SPA?
The Grien SPA is divided into two areas: the swimming pool and the wellness area. Inside you’ll find a large swimming pool, two jacuzzis, a waterfall, a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna, two experience showers, a Turkish bath, a Kneipp course, two massage rooms, various relaxation areas with sun loungers and a large sun terrace with a view of the forest.
What is included in the admission to the pool?
The admission price includes the use of the swimming pool, the jacuzzi and waterfall as well as the relaxation beds in front of the swimming pool or on the upper floor. In fine weather, you can also access the large outdoor sun terrace with views of the forest.

The admission price includes the use of the swimming pool, the jacuzzi and waterfall, as well as the relaxation beds in front of the swimming pool or on the upper floor. Is the swimming pool thermal?
No, our swimming pool is not thermal.
How deep is the swimming pool?
The pool is between 1.20 m and 1.40 m deep.
What is the temperature of the Finnish sauna?
The temperature of the Finnish sauna varies between 80 and 90 degrees.
What is the temperature of the infrared sauna?
The maximum temperature of the infrared sauna is 50 degrees.
Are there any age restrictions for access to the sauna area?
Yes, access to the sauna area is restricted to guests aged 16 or over.
Is the wellness centre accessible to people with motor disabilities?
The Grien SPA is accessible to people with motor disabilities: it is equipped with disabled toilets and a lift. If you are travelling with a person who has a mobility impairment, please contact us before your arrival to see if we can meet your specific needs.
Can I buy swimwear?
Yes, you can buy costumes in different sizes for men, women and children at the Grien SPA reception.
Can I hire towels, bathrobes, slippers, swimming caps and goggles?
Yes, you can hire towels, bathrobes, slippers, swimming caps and goggles at the Grien SPA reception desk.
Can I consume food and drink inside the Grien SPA?
You can enjoy food and drinks in the upper area of the Grien SPA (the loggia overlooking the pool), where you will find an area equipped with chaise-longues and tables.
Can I book a massage/holistic treatment?
Can I book a beauty treatment (manicure, pedicure, mud baths, facials, etc.)?
No, we do not currently provide a beauty centre service.
Can I book a yoga/meditation class?
What does ‘grien’ mean?
‘Grien’ in Saurano means ‘green’, like the forest surrounding our wellness centre.
How do I get to the Treinke campsite?
How far is the campsite from Sauris di Sopra and Sauris di Sotto?
The Treinke campsite is about 1.5 kilometres from Sauris di Sopra and 1.5 kilometres from Sauris di Sotto. If you’re on foot, you can reach the Grien Spa in about 15-20 minutes.

What are the campsite opening periods?

Are the pitches suitable for long motor homes?
Yes, some of our pitches are also suitable for motor homes longer than 6 metres.
Are there any bungalows or mobile homes?
No, the campsite does not currently have any bungalows or mobile homes.
Does the campsite have internal gradients?
The overall area of the campsite is not level and there are some differences in level. The asphalt access road is slightly uphill. From there, the first driveway and adjacent pitches are level, then it’s uphill again to reach the service area and the upper part of the campsite, which is surrounded by woodland.
Are there any times when you cannot enter the campsite?
The campsite is always accessible for registered guests. If you need to enter and exit with your vehicle, ask at reception for a badge to open the automatic barrier. Please take care not to disturb any other guests during transit, especially during quiet hours.
What are the campsite services?
Inside the campsite, you will find a large, heated service area with toilets, hot showers, a laundry room with washing machines and dryers, a room for washing dishes.
In the centre of the campsite, we have set up a large picnic area with wooden tables and a barbecue. Near the reception, you will find an indoor common room where you can read, relax or sip a herbal tea.
Does the campsite have a service area?

Yes, within the service area, you will find a laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer that you can use freely.

You can dispose of waste water in the gutters along the campsite paths or on the pitches where there is a drain.
Where can I dispose of sewage?
The sewage pit is located between the service room and the eastern exit of the campsite.
Are there any indoor common areas?
Near the reception, you will find an indoor common room where you can read, relax or sip a herbal tea.
Are there any picnic areas?
Yes, there is a large picnic area in the centre of the campsite near the service area with tables, benches and two barbecues.
Are there any children’s’ play areas?
Yes, there is a children’s play area near the entrance to the campsite. If you are travelling with children, you can choose to book one of the nearby pitches.
Are there any barbecues?
Yes, in the large picnic area, you will find two barbecues for your barbecue parties. If you wish to use them, book them at reception, we can also provide you with a grill and charcoal.
Can I use my own barbecue?
You can only use your own barbecue if it is powered by a gas cylinder.
Can I light a fire?
No, it is forbidden to light fires throughout the entire campsite area.
Is there a wi-fi connection? Is the coverage good? Does the internet work?
You can use two wi-fi networks for free. The coverage reaches the area near the reception and certain areas of the campsite.
Is there telephone and data network coverage on the campsite?
Telephone and data network coverage is present in all areas of the campsite, but its stability may vary depending on the telephone provider and weather conditions.
Is it possible to stay on a campsite for just one night?

How should I sort my waste?

How can I get to the Sailing Sauris Boat Rental Service?
The Sailing Sauris Boat Rental Service is located in La Maina. Follow the short path from the road to the lake shore and you will find our wooden house, preceded by a few signs. Click here for directions.
What are the opening times?
The service depends on various factors beyond our control, such as the water level of the lake as well as the weather conditions. We always recommend you contact us before your arrival to find out if we can guarantee service on that day.
What types of boats can I hire?
You can hire Canadian canoes, kayaks, pedal boats and Stand-Up Paddle Boards.
Can I book to hire a boat?
No, we do not accept bookings for boat rentals.
You can book Stand-Up Paddle Board lessons or trips with a nature guide; in which case the availability of your boat will be guaranteed.
Can you swim in the lake?
To find out about the lake’s bathing conditions, ask at reception or call us on + 380 344 1703.

Tassa di soggiorno
Dal 1 maggio 2018 è in vigore nel Comune di Saurisla tassa di soggiorno.
La misura dell’imposta per la nostra struttura ricettiva è di € 1,00 a persona per notte, per un massimo di 15 giorni consecutivi.
Sono esenti dal pagamento:
- i minori, che nel giorno d’arrivo, non abbiano ancora compiuto il dodicesimo anno di età;
- i portatori di handicap, non autosufficienti, con idonea certificazione medica, compreso un accompagnatore;
- il personale appartenente alla Polizia di Stato e locale, alle altre Forze armate, al Corpo Forestale Regionale, al Corpo nazionale dei vigili del fuoco nonché il personale sanitario che soggiornano per esigenze di servizio;
- i soggetti che alloggiano in strutture ricettive a seguito di provvedimenti adottati da autorità pubbliche per fronteggiare situazioni di emergenza conseguenti a eventi calamitosi o di natura straordinaria e per finalità di soccorso umanitario.
Quando deve essere pagata
L’imposta deve essere pagata al momento del pagamento del soggiorno, alla struttura ricettiva che, successivamente, ha l’onere di riversarla al Comune.
